Our Faculty Training and Professional Development department provides training to online instructors, registrars and admissions personnel at institutions of higher education. Our services include technical training on the learning tools used to manage and deliver instruction as well as best practice sessions on facilitating online courses. From this site, you can access our instructor-led, best practice courses as well as our on-demand technical training. You will need to register to access those courses.

BP 501: Foundations of Online Delivery

This 5-week, instructor-led course covers necessary, fundamental online-class basics. Strategies for establishing teaching presence, delivering quality feedback, and engaging students are discussed. Weekly assignments include a self-check, discussion, and assignment.

BP 502: Enhancing Student Engagement

BP 502 identifies the prominent theories centering on student engagement. Participants will review collaborative and cooperative methods incorporated in online learning. Additionally, this 5-week course will address experiential and problem-based methods used in online learning. The course concludes with an examination of the methods and potential barriers for student motivation in the online classroom.
